This was a series of like 10 trades...it was disgusting. This is how you lose money. This is how beginners at day trading get smoked and why 90 something percent of day traders will fail. What a horrible day. I didn't lose much money on this series of snafus, but it was disgusting.

I stopped out on two trades early and had three trades total. My brain said, you need to get back in on a trade or you will definitely lose money today. Losing money today is fine. Chasing a stock up trying to catch the top so you can short it down...isnt'. Not for me anyway.

So I jumped back in short. The first trade wasn't a horrible start. I had a super tight stop. Mistake number two. It quickly hit my stop, I was out and it went down. I was like FOMO FOMO FOMO...I should have still been in it right? So I got back in. It went up. Got back in again. Went back up.

You get the idea. It was stressful and all it did was cost me money in the end.

I finally caught it near the top, and got out with a small profit...and then it dropped pretty hard. More FOMO. I think I did this twice or three times until I finally just set it for the day. What a nightmare.

I made pretty much every rookie mistake today. I'm posting it for all to see...to see my shame. Maybe it will help someone, I hope so. Hopefully I will never trade like this again, and if I do it will be a long time from now....I'm feeling pretty bad and I'll remind myself regularly.
