Friday Jan 29

SQ sold off the 2 ATR and found support at the weekly 21 EMA. Yesterday's candle closed above the 21 bar high on above-average volume and daily RAF has a fire to the upside. Today we pulled back even more and crossed the D 21 EMA at $220. We have had 3 days of 10x bars to indicate momentum and conviction for a bullish trend.

On top of this, a lot of Robinhood traders are outraged this week at the firms halting buying of AMC, GME, etc. and also placing a lot of restrictions but allowing big institutions to continue freely trading. The SEC should be investigating this too and a lot of people switched to Cashapp (owned by SQ).

Yesterday we bounced off the D cloud and we cleared the 30m/1h cloud today. Need the clear the 21 EMA for the 2h cloud and the 4h cloud would be POC early next week.

Earnings is coming up Feb 23 so sold the $222.5/$217.5p for $2.73 credit on a $2.50 wide. Risking $4095 for $5460 max profit.

When /ES dropped 80 points - SQ held surprisingly well. We crossed back above the 30m cloud and we are bouncing right off it.

  • Monday: Square benefitted most from traders leaving Robinhood, says Mizuho (this blip came out a lot earlier than expected)

Yesterday reverted to the mean and held it AH gapped up a bit today and made it back to to POC at $227 today. Yesterday cleared 15m/30m cloud, been above 1h/2h cloud, and today closed above 4h cloud.

D squeeze now showing yellow momentum bars and strong support at POC if we can fire to the upside.

Wed Feb 3

SQ trading higher on the Cashapp/Crypto exposure in their offerings. Had some wild wicks today but ended up pinning at POC ($227) about 2 hours into the session.

We bounced off the 30m cloud today as strong support and are now holding POC at $227 inside the cloud. AH we gapped up higher as PYPL tripled profits as pandemic drives continued surge in online payments.

Thursday Feb 4

Closed the PCS at 55% max profit and took the profits to get into naked calls 2 weeks out. Following the $1.5M bet here with SQ the clear leader and $5.5M less than 30 mins into the session for the rest of the month. Earnings coming up on Feb 23. Continued to pullback so added the $245 calls for 2/19 at VWAP.

Friday Feb 5

Hit a new high of $240 during open and started to consolidate 2 hours into the session. At this time, SQ has been squeezing on the 5m/15m/30m/1h timeframes. We could continue to squeeze into next week and have an explosive move higher into the week before earnings.

Monday Feb 8

  • Tesla buys $1.5 billion in bitcoin, plans to accept it as payment
  • Bitcoin prices surged to new highs Monday following Tesla’s announcement, reaching a price of at least $44,200. Tesla shares were up more than 2% Monday morning. In its SEC filing, Tesla warned investors of the volatility of bitcoin’s price.

SQ fired the 1h squeeze in PM on this news and today's action fired the D squeeze too. I locked up most of this at open with the $245 calls 6 to 9 and $260 calls $2.6 to $4.5. Could have held longer as SQ continued to go the rest of the day, but happy with my piece.
