Total guesswork based on IPO speculation. Stock opened at 76 & put in a limit order at $80. Stock was supposed to open at $43, and don't know why it actually opened at $76. How can a stock open at $76 when it was priced at $43?

  • Set a 10% profit target and that's why I sold at $84.
  • Figured people would buy into BMBL due to the pandemic and that's how everyone is meeting their so's.
  • All stocks seem overhyped so wanted to see if I could make a 10% spread.

If I wasn't able to net the 10%, probably would've held until they start trading options. Would've written covered calls at my entry point strike price until it was called away. Would most likely target weekly call options but all of this would depend on where BMBL's stock price was compared to my target strike of $76.

And yes, that would've been a pain, so I'm glad I lucked out and was able to sell for my target yield the next day.

Definitely a novice move and got lucky with it.
