Random catalyst day 1, it was going parabolic at the middle of the day so I was looking for a mean reversion opportunity. I got short at 17.3 ish on avg with 500 shares when I had conviction that the run up was done, I covered my position into vwap for a nice little profit. Whenever I'm shorting a parabolic move for a mean reversion, my target is usually vwap or slightly below VWAP. After we failed to break 19 around 1 PM I tried to get back in thinking that this was the last fail follow through move before we go back side. I got too aggressive into 17.7 and 18.1 ish , I took two cuts and gave back my gains entirely on the name. This is not a very strong setup of mine and I did underestimate the range on the second trade that I took. I believe that the first trade was clean, but I didn't manage properly the second one, I should have been using smaller size and use a stop at HOD. Easy to say in hindsight but that would have save me some money for sure. I also believe that this was just not a good trader, my selection process today was ass and I need to fix that going forward.
