F has been doing well recently, they hit a 3 year high today. the only reason they pulled back today was due to the market's weakness.

Fundamentals: They have been struggling from a chip shortage recently but Biden said he is going to do something about that, which could help their stock price. I feel good about this catalyst. They have more going for them at the moment also.

Technicals: Bought at a level of support. Entered at 11.80 with a SL at 11.70 and a TP at 12.40. That's a 6:1 RR. Great RR but I didn't size up because there wasn't real evidence of a reversal yet, that level isn't super significant. I'm willing to get stopped out and reenter if necessary.

+++ 03/02 Trades
Ford opened strong and 12.50 acted as a key resistance level. It broke above that point, I was too hesitant to enter on the break because I thought I missed the move and a meaningful RR wasn't there anymore. I think like this often but it is usually not the case. The break of 12.50 or successful retest of 12.50 would've offered strong entries. Missed opportunity here.

I wanted to make sure I was letting my winner run and not cutting it too quick bc this name was at it's highest level in about 3 years, not much overhead resistance. I wanted to enter a lot at 12.55 and sell both my lots under 12.50 if that level failed to hold. My momentum lot had a 3:1 RR and quickly started working in my favor.

12.73 was my TP level because it was near a recent high. That level broke quick so I stayed in the position and moved my stop to a 1m close under that level. The level broke and SPY was really weak. I kept trying to get filled on a wick up with my exit. I couldn't get a fill. I was fighting so hard for an extra dollar that I lost $5 trying to be cute with my exit.

++ 03/03 Trade

F fell with SPY on the open. I was asleep so I didn't get out when level broke. Started to uptrend and I waited for a break of this uptrend to get out. I exited and will now wait for a pullback to enter with the same thesis and strong RR levels.

Lesson Learned: When your stop is hit, get out first and ask questions later. Don't try to be cute fishing for an extra dollar or two.
