Random catalyst day 1 play, the news itself was not worth a 100% gap up IMO but because it's a day 1 play I was not planning on trading it for the first 30-60 min of the trading day. I wanted to see a clear change in the direction of the trend on higher time frame before getting involve on the short side. We broke the 15 min trend in the afternoon and I decided to start shorting with a vwap route against all pop risking the reclaim of 6. I got up to 700 shares avg 5.53 and I started covering in the low 5s, I was targeting below 5 but the tape was goofy / not super clean and the volume was dying so I took profit a little earlier thinking that it might starts to reverse after that. I missed another 20 cents per shares.
