GPRO Trade on Apr 29, 2015 09:56 from BerlinTrader_BOWS: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

On the Daily: Gap up and breakout over long downtrending consolidation range.

On the Intraday: Quick pop flagpole, bull flag

First trade:
The Good: I got a good entry at bottom of flag range, stopped out after breakdown of range
The Bad: Range was rounding in a bearish fashion, not the most orderly pullback in terms of price action, entry was actually a bit on the breakdown. Should have not bought so low.

Second trade:
The Good: Stock hit a support level, could bounce back up
The Bad: Probably a good chance to go short, NOT long. Momentum was down, and stock was tap tap tap on the support. It was going to break. I sold on the first big down candle for a loss.

Lessons learned: Stay away from risky counter trend plays. If stock doesn't react immediately, get out. If stock taps multiple times on a level, it's going to break through. Don't be on the wrong side of that trade.
