PLAY:
KEY LEVEL: 675, 680
Did I follow my stop loss rules? Yes
Put Entry: Wanted to see a breakdown on TSLA, if markets started to pullback. I waited for a retest of 675, and as it rejected, I entered, and put my stop there. Got the quick flush I wanted.
Put Exit(Notes): I was tempted to hold, as long as TSLA stayed below 674-675. But it was early in the morning, so I decided to take the quick scalp rather than hoping for a bigger move.
Call Entries: I waited for support to hold before entering my first call. Unfortunately, I got shaken out. Wasn't quick enough to enter on that 2nd retest of 680. That was a great bull flag I shouldn't have missed. Stopping out is needed, but be on the lookout for potential reentries. I even tried bidding for a call, but the price didn't even pull back once for me to be able to enter. I didn't want to chase, so I didn't get in market quick.
Next play was on the 2nd test of 685. Started to be emotional, and rushed my entry with a market order, rather than buying on the dips. Unrealized losses of $180 due to the rushed entry, which I could have avoided if I was patient with the entry. But then again, I was scared that it would just run without me(literally 5 minutes ago LOL), so I didn't wait. You never know.
Call Exit Notes: Exited the 1st call because the trend broke, and I had no reason to hold. Scaled out 1 contract on a pop, and risked breakeven for the second contract for the 690 PT.
