PLTR was consolidating right above VWAP, Held bid spotted on tape at $23.97, large orders on the tape at $23.98/$24, got in front of bid for 100 shares at $23.99 with a 3-cent risk. Got out at $24.04 for a 2:1 R/R. Not a good Risk/Reward example. Good setup, but slow time of day. Stock trended all day with High at $25.66. This slower moving stock could have been better as an intraday swing. Looking back, my 3 cent risk would have paid off if held to $25.50 at 50:1 R/R for a profit of $151 instead of $5. Must focus on being more patient, If my attention starts to drift, that should be my cue to snap out of it. Work everyday to be more patient and to recognize the day's market structure. Is it a trend day or a range day?
