I completely oversize/ got super aggressive when I saw the fail-follow-through setup couple with a nice head and shoulders. Few things to note here regarding the context of the trade: the open was extremely strong, we were very far away from premarket levels, we were still above vwap, the potential of making higher lows/ higher highs was there... I think that those raw momentum name that I performed super well on in the past are super weak out of the gate or they barely cross premarket highs and then they get slam. There were multiple signs I believe that this was not a good short / that MVIS was not going to be directional today and I failed to see them. It's been a while since I've traded a multi-day raw momo name like this and I believe that it def played a role in my performance today (I totally lost my feel for them). One way to avoid this mistake would have been to go back to the last time I traded a good raw momo stock and see what the daily was looking like/ the open and the price action intraday.
