The entry doesn't seem too too bad, but more time would have worked out better. Also, my hard stop could have been slightly higher to accomodate the price movement. Kind of a forced trade after so many other duds this day.
I guess I can surmise that if you're going to be pre-emptive, you had better know what you're doing and get a really good price level for your entry so you can be in control of the trade even if it decides to dance around for a few candles before the move really happens. If I had bought higher, my R/R would have been better and the chances of the trade working out would also have been higher, and I still could have been pre-emptive and not let it hurt me.
