Consolidation Fade Trade OGT

BIIB got some FDA approval today and paused trading for some time. When it came back, it was really spready and choppy and I decided to stay away until it was calmer and patterns were more established. This is kind of like an IPO in the sense that it is was trading in a range in which it had no established levels. I was looking for technical setups that had edge. I figured if I caught the right move it could easily be $10, which made me very interested.

BIIB was consolidating around 400. I was watching closely but couldn't convince myself to be short or long. I figured if it dropped 400 and came into it's downtrend at around 391, I could take a position with about a dollar of risk. I ended up buying a penny off the low of that move and started piecing out my shares as it moved higher. I really wanted to get one share sold for over $400, but it didn't quite make it. I sold at the conclusion of the open market as I don't like to trade afterhours and I don't see this as a good candidate for overnight hold.

Even though I just caught a small part of the overall move that BIIB made today, this was my most profitable trade.
