Fundamentals:

Technicals:

Price action suggested the opposite of this trade, TBF

Summation:

Entered short on the 30s area, expecting a touch and fail, loaded short vs the HOD and waited for a fail. Thing held too strong and eventually squeezed higher, likely shorts being bent over BTC being a bastion of strength.

Takeaways:

Don't predict moves, LOOK for signs of them. Price action doesn't lie. The trend is your friend.

Despite all the whining about crypto dying, this thing held extremely strong today and it shows. Was your R/R truly in a good proportion, or did you lose more than necessary? Is the result of the loss more important than making the lesson stick, or is losing the only thing that matters?

Your size matters. Your timing matters. Your hesitation matters. On things that you see and consider and don't shoot for, you end up getting moves like this. Better check yourself before you wreck yourself there, trigger.

And don't forget that your stops, even if not adjusted, should be SECONDARY to what your experience and intuition are telling you. Is the price action turning? Are you really going in on this plan because you had the idea, or because you entered on a whim? Don't overthink it, but get the idea right.
