daylong consolidation. after 10 minutes of it not going, I just closed it

not exactly in my "rules," it's a little hard to be that strict on something arbitrary like that.. but there are times for me when if it doesn't go by now, it's probably not going to go... so I do let it go in situations like that. sometimes that does burn me, but it does help more often than not. What gets me in trouble is when the play still looks like it's going to go, but I get impatient and then close it... I always burn myself in that situation, almost every time
I'm guessing this stock was a little extended to the upside intraday and this is why it didn't have a good run anymore. Also you could've tried to enter close to the support level around $39.20.

Hi Blake! Hey is that in your rules to sell if it doesn't react in ten minutes? I have been playing around with the same concept. Do you find that many of them break out after you get out? or do you feel it keeps you out of more failed set ups?
