Shorting gap ups is my bread and butter. Stock made a high off the open and closed on low so shorting gap up > buying gap up.
I guess the better entry was on the 9:36 1min bar which looking at it now was a reject by the 200day. But the 9:53 1min bar is higher probability signal imo bc after vwap broke at 9:45 it acted as resistance for next 7mins. Also now you have a gap up that couldnt hold the opening print so odds were in shorts favor. Couldnt get any downside follow-thru.
Great analysis. Thanks for sharing. "Stock made a high off the open and closed on low" : Are you referring to the 9:30 1m candle? Just want to make sure.

Why did you shorted a gap up? The short would had worked if you would had done it right away when it broke vwap but your entry was too late ;-;
