AMAT Trade on Jul 30, 2021 09:36 from MichaelBLe: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

I took this position long starting with a larger position size. Approx 20% to start. Then I added more into it with the stop being right behind us. This is a low risk high reward set up. Although AMAT can be very tricky to trade, the chart pattern is very nice. A pivot over 139.5 to set up a break out. Market conditions are getting better with break outs starting to work but only for a short period of time. So I won't be in this name for too long.

As pointed out in the chart above, there is a decent vol coming into the first hour of the day. I anticipate as the candle gets closer to the close of the 30m and 1hr, we might see a push to close the candles at highs.

How could I forget about the fundamentals?? As you can see, the sales and earnings growth is very steady quarter after quarter since 2020.

Group rating is 44/197

All good stats. Fundamentally it checks a lot of boxes.

I don't know how many times I've tried trading AMAT. It's been a difficult one to nail down. I'm hoping the market conditions are right this time for the break out of stick...

Took myself out of this trade after a reversal from the HOD this morning. When I look closely, I could see a potential head and shoulders top. With how difficult it's been to trade this name, I am very cautious about it. Not going to press this name. Finished trading it for now. Just doesn't have the push in it.
