Today's lesson... respect your trade plan! Your entry and your exits. My entry on UVXY was pretty good. I wasn't planning on trading today because I was at the office all day. But I came home for lunch and saw opportunity. The stock had a small flat top breakout forming between about 12:00 and 1:00. It broke through before I got to my trading station, so I waited for a pullback to resistance. I got a little impatient on the entry and didn't get the best starter position. The SPY looked shaky, but undecided at the time. I ended up bailing on the trade for a $140 loss even though my acceptable loss was $250. I didn't respect my plan and missed out on a $5 run when the SPY rolled over. That is definitely my Achilles heel and I need to work on it. I was scared out of too many trades this week when I was in a comfortable position.
