This week more retailers reported for the corporate calendar. The economic calendar provided more data on the inflation and job economic developments. The FOMC minutes were released mid-week and the market reacted strongly to the known possibility of tapering of the bond asset purchase program sooner. Buyers returned into the the close of the week and monthly expiries. Still a mixed but strong market with the recent spike in the VIX.

Fundamentals In Play Analysis

TJX highlighted open-only store sales growth by 20%. The company didn't provide Q3 EPS or revenue guidance but the recent reported shift of consumers back into their "brick-and-mortar" exposure is an important change in trend. The back to school shift was also a benefit to its business. Inventory levels were managed adequately along with profit margins. The company is operating efficiently and positioned well but also faces potential headwinds with rising virus concerns.

Trade Setup/Execution Grade + Risk (risk:premium) + Positioning + Size/Allocation Management & Review

(A/B) setup / (B) execution. R:P 1/3, conservative position, conservative ~12% allocation. Playbook setup but within market catalyst context as with mentioned on prior trade. Order book issues on execution with liquidity. Had to make strike adjustments due to the volume on pre-selected one's. I did have more time on the execution side of the order book which I gained more experience on trading against the MM's algo's. I needed to be in a position on my playbook trade and aggressive on this end to get in. The overall trade would have had a different dynamic most likely if there wasn't a market catalyst also in play. This is an adjusted playbook execution.
