Well this trade was completely stupid. I was testing out my new preset buy orders on IB and for some crazy reason I decided to test it live on na stock that was already 48% up.
the preset was to automatically put in 1% stop loss as soon as I buy my order in. It didn't work and was quickly dropping down I tried to limit out and was still dropping. in the end I had to use a market order. this all happened in the space of 70 seconds.
what did I learn from this trade
Use the demo and take care on trying out new system.
What would I do to improve this trade
don't take it. the only positive side to this is I am making lots of mistakes quickly with a small account.
