Tail-end of corporate earnings season and approaching EOM. Monetary policy updates with central bank at the annual Jackson Hole event EOW. Lighter volume to start the week but market waiting for any less likely un-priced in announcements. Continued dovish commentary was reiterated by Powell and market rallied into the end of the week.

Fundamentals In Play Analysis

NVIDIA reported beats on earnings and revenues. They also issued upside guidance for Q3. Their business has expanded in multiple segments including, gaming, data center, automotive, and cryptocurrency. They did have a bearish view on the cryptocurrency segment and they talked about a trending segment on professional visualization specifically for the virtual metaverse space. They continue to be a leader in the semiconductor industry although with higher valuations.
