I need to figure out how to be better tomorrow after seeing this trade.

I was LATE and CHASING this trade. Why was I late? I was late either because I had CRM on my other monitor or I could have been waiting for some sort of pattern to signal an entry but instead i took a bad entry over HOD, immediately hit the bid because it pulled back quick, and then entered again out of FOMO most likely.

I am thinking about what to pull from this trade which I will definitely share in the session. Here are couple things to help me be better tomorrow:

1. The trade to hold was a dip buy to 289.30, the level i had drawn, which probably would have been hard for me to hold with too large of size as it almost fell another dollar. Hopefully buying that weakness would have been enough to float it over 10-15% loss so I could hold a tier 3 size (25% of riskable BP).
2. Because this range was large and volatile off the open the 289.30 dip buy would have been the best option to enter unless there was a tightening of volatility and a pattern emerged I need to stay away from these conditions because they eat my profits more times than not.
3. I ended the day by putting a swing on with smaller size because of the way that it formed a pattern towards the close just like I mentioned above. We will see how that plays out but it could cause problems. Its worth mentioning that I am swinging options in my live account 1 month out and 3 months out. Could have something to do with my heightened interest in the bull side of this stock. I think its worth looking to scalp/daytrade the short side to practice "hedging" my longer term positions in my other account. The other option is to stay away because of the conflict of interest. I will have to learn those lessons more when I have live exposure.
