Name: Opening Drive Load Zone

Big Picture:
The big picture hear was that BTC was approaching ATH 62k and just absolutely on a tear for a while. HUT 8 is a bitcoin mining company. A lot of what is moving crypto is the release of etfs to come this week that are backed by the /BTC futures contract.

Intraday Fundamentals:
BTC ETF coming to the market has BTC moving quick!

TA:
12.04 was a key level for me because it was the top of a consolidation. I was expecting to load into the $12 level and and have the bids hold premarket low or just under to 11.62 for less than a minute and rebid back up over 12.05. Otherwise I would have cut for a small loss.


Reading the tape:
I did not record the tape today on this ticker but I can still go over some of the action.

This thing opened up with a volatility expansion that only cleared PM low, wicked 10 cent below 12, and 10 cent under the PM high in the first 5 min. This to me is completely normal for buyers and sellers to decided if they want to markup price or let it roll but if I enter at 12 or below then I should have bidders step in front of my entry price if the level is tested again. Just before 10 the $12 mark became important again and then buyers took control! The tape was green and fast until we got over 12.50 where there were signs of exhaustion but I unloaded size into the run up.

Intuition:

I am beginning to build intuition when it comes to not even wasting my time on breakouts and focusing more on buying the bottoms or selling the tops of patterns. This opening range expansion pattern is one I see almost everyday!
