This stock had positive news for the premarket movement. My entry was good for the buy setup formation in the premarket at 7:30:42am Est. Bought the breakout. But my mental ( premarket) stop was too tight for my desired risk. I should have selected a stop at about 1.80 or 1.79 which is below the buy setup candle formation. I instead sized my position based on 50usd risk @ 1.85 which was way to big. Instead of haivng a 50usd risk, i was risking nearly 92usd. The stock peekabooed 1.96 ( 1R) based on my 1.85 stop, and came back down to my entry price. i realized i made the mistake of going to tight on the risk, so i sold off with only a 8.33 loss. if i would have held, i would have had the full 92 dollar loss. if i would have placed my stop according to my rules ( below buy setup support) , the low candle @ 7:56:00 est would have reached my low point, but not touched my stop loss, and from there it reached up to 2.17 high of day. based on a 1.79 SL, it would have been equivalent to a 2R target.
For buy setups its best to have sl at the lowest point of the current setup formation.
