I've been caught up in a few like this as well. Draw your "line in the sand" and wait for confirmation. If it breaks up, you could try to go long. SNDK recently had good news though, and has been in an overall uptrend.

Hindsight makes things so obvious, right? But just for the repitition for both of us, let me share my opinion. This is what has made the biggest difference for me in my trading this past year.

On all your Tradervue trades, I highly recommend that you tag them with the setups that you saw. This does a few things for you, but 2 critical things:

1) It reinforces that you are playing setups that you've been taught rather than trying to predict (and hence be "right") the direction of the stock price.
2) It provides you a way to measure what setups you are good at and which need more work through Tradervue reporting.

In this trade, you chased it down a bit. I am guessing that you were thinking about this as a parabolic short on the daily. Which seems reasonable to me. But if that's true, the entry was within the bear flag in the 78.00 area (if you are an anticipater) or just as the bear flag broke thru and held the 9ema in the 77.85ish area (if you like confirmation). Then your first cover would have been as VWAP and trend line merge in the 77.64 area http://screencast.com/t/QRui0bPn and then moved your stop to where your entry price.

Whatever was left you'd have stopped out flat the rest because, ultimately, the thesis was incorrect. Still too early. But, you'd have had a trade that didn't work yet you made a couple bucks.

Thank you for taking the time LPeriman, i have also been thinking that i have to describe my trades with more detail and with a clear setup, seeing you say that is a great reinforcement. Regarding this particular trade i agree with everything you've said, it is a bit of a chase because i missed the first bearflag and i thought it was repeating the same pattern on a smaller scale.
And yes i need to start putting my stop loss at the entry price after my first scale out!
