SBUX Trade on Oct 30, 2015 09:56 from MAllum_BOWS: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

This was the very first stock I purchased and my first trade of the day. Got it from Yahoo finance or FinViz.
I didn't know what was going on. I think I saw green on the daily chart so hoped it would be green again today. No setup on the daily that I could see. Bought without looking at or for a pattern. Just excitement here, lol. Wish I could have said my first trade was green, ah well.
It just kept going down so I decided to cut my losses. This was the fastest I cut my losses for the day but I lost a whole 40cents. The big picture really does matter to make setups recognisable.
Again, my chart scale was off so it did not look as clear as it does below here in TraderVue.
Today I was apply very little of my learnt knowledge from the course book about setups to the actual charts as they developed. I barely recognised any setups because I haven't yet started studying charts and looking analytically at what the course book described ON the charts. This will get better with practise.
