Bullish retest gap:
My thesis was for this to dip to the $179-$180 area and buy the dip and ride it up. I nailed this - I did have to chase a little bit though but I still got a good entry near the bottom.
I was thinking if I should sell this at premarket high but decided not too because the other day I did that, I missed out on a lot of money. it Literally touched pre market high and rejected and I ended up selling. Options do not fully follow the underlying price, so I should have exitted for break even and then re-entered. I need to remeber that because my I lost about $45 dollars which was 30% which is expected but still to much when I could have been break even instead.
At this point I knew I had to go short so I waited for a bounce. I was a bit early and took an entry that was not ideal and lost another $20 there and then retentered again when I thought the top was in. This kind of wanting to guess that actual top are giving me paper cuts, but I think I prefer papercuts than hoping and holding.
Overall my thesis was right for the first trade and I am happy that I swapped biases because the trade didnot work straight away essentially.
In fututre I should try play the PUTS out of the gate to the support level and then buy calls. This way I can get both parts of the move.
