I anticipated this earnings play to go up. It did not. I have a habit at times to anticipate a setup prior to the stock price/setup actually setting up to trade. I should have allowed the pattern to develop. Secondly, I was trading a stock with low volume. Thirdly, the daily chart pattern was icky and not in alignment with the intraday.

One of my trading rules is to not trade a stock whose volume is under 500,000 for the day. Mistakes noted and try to avoid in future.
