BABA Trade on Jan 7, 2022 09:36 from yoosh: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

This was a bullish retest gap which worked as expected which was nice. It my own greed to go short for the test which scrwed me up.

The stock was gapping above key levels of resistance and the previous day was a green day. My theseis was that people who bought yesterday would sell into this big gap and causing a sell off, and then everyone that might have been shorting this stock because it has been in a downtrend will then try to cover causing the stock to rise a bit.

My problem was I decided to buy puts at the open but got a shit price which fucked me up and I lost $50 straight away. Lesson - don't buy options within the first 1-3 min until everything has settled down and a trend confirmed.

After there was a couple minutes of support at the $130 level, I bought some calls for the retest and sold when I felt the stock slowing down.
