TLRY – OPENING DRIVE SCALP WITH TRADE2HOLD POTENTIAL – (53.40)

Tilray shares are trading higher after the company reported Q2 sales of $155.15 million, up from $129.46 million year over year.

Caught the news @ 6am, looked at the chart and new that this had the potential to go to 8 today. However, with the high float 445M shares, and ultra-weak markets lately, I had my doubts that this would do much of anything…

I watched it all through premarket and still did not think it had potential, even after VERU (A+ news catalyst) failed and no other symbols were not showing much strength…

This was without a doubt the stock I needed to be in today, I knew it deep down inside but wanted to look for something cheaper and more volatile.

TLRY MOVED HIGHER FROM PREMARKET INTO THE OPEN, OPENING WITH STRENGTH FROM 7 TO 7.63…

Well I thought that was a hell of a move and figured it should probably continue up to 8
I scaled into 500 on the 1st pullback, but it was more of a doji filled 7 minute wedge… not looking good.

Long 500 shares @ 7.63, risking 7.50, which also was the bottom of previous candle and the bottom of the wedge

Tested 7.80 and pulled back, volume failing

Stopped out

Stock moved lower rest of day

CHASED THIS OUT OF FOMO. This was the right stock, size, and risk… just the wrong time.
