BBIG - SHORT SQUEEZE OPENING DRIVE – 66.46

After a lackluster premarket, I waited for something to present itself

@ 9:32 my short squeeze scanner alerted me of BBIG showing short float @ 23% and RVOL over 20x

Looked like this could offer a move up to $3.50 and possibly $4 if $3 held with volume

On the open BBIG opened with heavy volume, clearing the $3 with some resistance showing @ 3.25 and @3.50 on the daily.

The 3.25 level was much more short term, and with 20x RVOL on the day I figured this level may not be substantial

@ 9:35 I got long FULL SIZE on the 1st green candle to make a new high after pullback under 3.25 with the expectation of 3.25 being taken out quickly. Was planning to take 80% profit around 3.50

Price average was about 3.10

@9:35-9:36 Volume did not expand, and topping tails came in quickly as 3.20 was tested, which was a bearish signal, so I took off ½

@9:37 bounced off the vwap @3.10 with largest volume candle so far so I re-added for the break of 3.25 (2nd attempt)

@9:40 3.25 broke but massive topping tail and selling pressure came in so I sold ½ again

@9:45 vwap bounce again so I re-added small size, but this time volume really dropped off and more topping tails showed on the 1minute

@9:48 vwap is broken to the downside on lighter volume so I liquidated

Gave back some profit on this, but net green on the trade with a tiny win

This probably would have been a good trade in a stronger market but respected my daily goal to take some profit quickly given this market and ended up green on the trade. A little disappointing but still green.
