Looks like a distant cousin of my trade. I bought at 55 little later, when it pulled back to vwap around 10:38. Scaled out 1/3 when it stalled above 58. Unfortunately didn't sell anything into 60, I wanted to hold for a bigger move. Sold more before eod. Kept a bit in case this was the temporary bottom and it gapped up on Monday. Which it did, and I sold half of the rest above 65. Still have a tiny bit in case it pulls a crazy move and goes towards 80, since it's down 60% from the highs. One of my longest trades ever.

More like a red-headed step cousin (no offense to red-heads). Like your trade a lot better. love that entry by you. Not anticipatory like mine, yours is much higher probability entry. And love the hold too. Thats something i'm going to try and incorporate this year. Was a significant market move and very high probability of a further bounce from there. Great hold!

Thank you my man. I guess it's good that we are both self critical (in my experience the people that brag about their execution don't progress much over time, because they are already satisfied).

But I like your exits better. You scaled out into strength, weren't greedy like me. Looking back I don't know why I didn't sell some into 60. It was already a 10% move from the lows, in a jittery environment, don't know what more I was expecting. The hold over the weekend worked out this time, but I try to avoid it most of the time. It's a gamble, even with the small size I kept. I just figured it was worth the small risk, for an outsized possible reward.

Thanks again, and keep posting those short trades, so I can learn from them!

Trading (like golf) is not a game of perfect which makes it so addictive bc we can always get better.

If youre a golfer the book Golf is Not A Game of Perfect is a great quick read and has so many parallels to trading.
