Energy stock plummeting below its MA's on the Daily. Shorted the flag as it bounced off the 9 EMA, which it had been riding down along all day.
After seeing confirmation I realized my limit order wasn't filled all the way, so I shorted 100 more just for good measure. Sold too early in an over-eager attempt to cover losses from earlier today.
Wasn't really down that much at all at that point, but mentally I just wanted to be green for the day. Could have made a lot more if I waited to properly scale out in halves and ride this puppy off into the sunset.
