SIM DAY #21

Shares Traded (Day): 7,600
Closed P&L (Day): 5,834.00

After not having time to traded yesterday (so frustrating), I came back today and killed it with two awesome plays!! Took $TSLA for a long after it rebounded and broke over EMAs. Took $NFLX for a longer play which turned out to be incredible.

Shares traded: 7,000 (NFLX only)
Closed P&L: $4,914.00 (NFLX only)

$NFLX gapped down in the morning and looked very similar to $TSLA which I had already jumped into. I was thinking $NFLX would follow similar suit to $TSLA and reverse its downtrend and attempt to fill that gap. Once it broke over EMAs, I took the trade for a long. However, this time I tried something different (mostly because I was running out of time and had to get back to the day job). I spotted $88.00 as a strong support/resistance level for the day. Once the price broke over it and the EMAs, I took the trade for a long, and placed a hard stop just 10 cents below $88.00. I left for a few hours to get back to the job, expecting the price to continue its uptrend and make an attempt at filling the gap, back up to previous days close. Luck came into play at this point now... I took my lunch break from the day job and hopped back on the laptop to take a look at the trade. To my pleasant discover, the price was literally almost back at the closing price from the previous day. Without thinking, I sold ALL shares haha ONLY to notice a very nice intraday flag forming in which I had just sold all my shares at the bottom of SMH So I jumped back into the trade to continue riding the price up to previous days close. Sold shares at previous day's closing price, and then stopped out of the remaining as price faded. AMAZING!

So ... you're saying your at your best when you enter a good setup and then leave? :)

Don't be offended... I think we all are better when we get out of our own way. Good job.

@LPeriman_BOWS haha I guess so! Literally eliminates all emotions. Don't think I will use this technique often still though. Luck definitely played a little role. Just always exciting to see your entire plan and thoughts work out perfectly! As always, thanks for the comment!!

Great job, my only comment is to use the same share sizes in the SIM you would in your live trading. Sim trading is a great way to recognize the set ups, practicing to enter /exit the trade. However, when it comes to live trading with real money, real executions you may not be as calm walking away with 1000 plus shares of NFLX on the line.
On the other hand, you might be the trader who can do it. Good luck either way!
