I got faked out of this position. It consolidated below 8.90 and I took a fair short position at 8.87 (although 8.90s would have been better). I think because of my less than optimal entry, I lost confidence in my trade idea.
It gave one final spike up to 8.95 or so which scared me out and I covered to protect against any losses. Of course, it then continued to dump exactly as I theorized originally.
This was an unnecessary loss and a missed opportunity.
To better trade such a setup in the future, I can either:
Losses such as these are unnecessary and I should work hard to avoid such losses in the future.
