META Trade on Jul 7, 2022 09:47 from walden: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

I saw some video and saying beginner should buy smaller position and allow bigger room for stop loss. So took a swing trade strategy on META. META last few days have been trading strong. On 7 Jul, when FANG name was up 1-1.5%, it was moving down. No company specific news.

Got in small at 170, which was a period of consolidation. Got in at 169.7, which was a bad trade. Got in again at 169.25 at swing low. Then the stock suddenly dropped below 168. Added again at 168.26 and 168.31. Using old strategy I guess I stopped out twice already. But I kept buying as S&P is very strong.

Then I got out at 168.5 to lighten up my position. Got out again at swing high at 169.29 and 169.11. Now I am only 40% of peak position, so brought again at swing low at 167.95, which is a double bottom.

After 10:30, the rally happens, then I scale out of my position very slowly.

What I did Right: The final exit was good. Off load position at swing high gives me room to maneuver.

What I did Wrong: The first entry level was not good but it is a consolidation level. Second entry was really bad. I should only buy at consolidation level. The third entry at previous swing low is ok. The fourth entry at 168.26 was too aggressive.

Where I could improve: On swing trade, I should be careful with the entry. The double bottom is a good entry point and I did not add enough.

Trade grade: C. Somehow I came out profitable in this V-shape rebound.
