OXY very difficult to trade on 18 July. I tried to buy VWAP buyout at 61. Eventually it was a double top instead and I cut loss at 60.8. Then I saw a bottom and a U shape formed so re-enter at 60.528 and double the size. But it was a bumpy swing high and I got shaken out. Bad trade.
What I did Right: Half my normal size on VWAP breakout as I know this is not a high probability setup. But losing money, despite a small one, still hurts my confidence.
What I did Wrong: The final trade exit was impatient as OXY moving very slowly and it was not trending.
Where I could improve: Hindsight. OXT gap up above 60 tends to trade down. I should do a double top short. Be more patient for 2nd trade.
Trade grade: Fail.
