Stop - Hold Below $230

Thesis: ENPH would drop and find support at $235-$230. Then trade to higher levels for the day.

Trade: ENPH had some up and down movement on the open I waited as I wanted to make sure ENPH would hold 230. Once it dropped to 230 and held and started to move up. I entered into a pull back with 100 and risked the low of the day under 230. I sold 50% on the VWAP break and when it pulled back to VWAP I added 50 and then added 100. As it broke out from VWAP. I started to sell slowly as it climbed higher. As it broke 240 I added back 100 and then scalped it out. Holding 50. I began to build back in as ENPH started to pull back into 240. I started building a little too early into 240 and took on a little more risk than I wanted, however I was in the driver's seat with a good cushion of profit to deal with a little extra risk. Additionally, I would have added more into the 240 area, but I was out of buying power. I sold most of the position on the break into 245. I noted the price compression as price tightened against the 245 area. I drew a trendline and added to full size as price dropped into the trendline. Price broke out through the 245 area. I began to take profit as it pushed to 250. As price pushed into the 250 area, I excited about 90% of my position and held 10%. I had to leave my desk so I left the 10% on as a runner with breakeven as my stop. When I saw price pushing 255. I got flat.

Thoughts: I should have been more aggressive and gotten into the position at 230. I didn't get in full size on the VWAP pull back. Hard call however as my thought was that it might fail back down to 230 and I would have exited and then waited to add back into the 230 area. I managed my risk well. my only complaint is that I added to soon into the 240 area. I should have gone in a little smaller and built more in as it got closer to 240. Probably start with 50 share adds instead of 100 shares. Overall happy with the trade and my execution.
