Hey paleo, if I was in this trade, I would be thinking about defense, First my stop would be above that consolidation put in right on the first entry, Now I might take off 50% if we broke above that consolidation and maybe another 50% at HOD or maybe I would have taken the full position off if we broke above that consolidation. Now on the second entry add, I would be thinking, I just added to this winner and now I am also going to bring down my stop to better manage risk and keep it tighter, I would then put a stop on the full position above that 85 whole number that we just wicked off off. This is how I would have traded this when thinking about risk management and defense. What were you thinking when you were playing defense on this trade?

Andy, i really like how you are thinking thru this trade. For me, my initial entry was so small that I had initial stop for all $85.56 but really since its a play on a failed new high the HoD shouldnt break so I shoulda put 100% of position on and stopped new HoD. Given how weak name was I was looking for test of low, esp if mkt gave any weakness. After my add, i moved a full stop to $85.06, then 84.76 after getting some take profits.
Again, your thinking thru the trade is great. Love to see it.

Wont have any trades today bc had puts from yest so didnt need to do anything else. Big win with this mkt move.

Really good initial sizing then adding another -200 right at vwap
