Didn't chase i think. Got in at a consolidation area and honoured Paul's suggestion to risk a very small amountof my portfolio, just $50, which makes sense cuz i'm learning and want to practise making great R:R on very small amounts of $. Did that today by luck actually.
Good entry but I didnt calculate where my stop should really be for 50 shares so when it dipped a little, normally my stop would have been very close under my entry, like 50c away, but it dipped down $2 and i couldnt get out because i got called into a small meeting at work and i was using a loose mental stop (Not smart on a $200 stock!) So i was bracing for a huge loss when i got back to my computer. Luckily, not skillfully, JNUG ran up $7. Still, Poor process. Actually my entry was not the best. I should have waited to enter just at the MA's instead of jumping in right away but I though it was going to run up immediately. Good buy on the first pull back thoughh as these are more likely to bounce.
Note from Kunal's previous comments, I cant have a 50cent stop for a stock that just moved $20! Ok, this clicks in my brain a bit more now. Will have to Deliberately respect whatever my calculated share size is and REMEMBER its not about making money right now but about proper process, Even if i can only trade ONE share.
Had problems exiting because i was trying to sell 100 shares and kept getting the TOS rejection msg because iI actually only owned 50 to short. Will have to change my TOS default share size to 50.
