The set-up: Break Out (Relative Strength) - Wide Spread / Less Liquid - Only me trading option that market. Dealing with Market Maker spread.
I was watching CAT when market is opened. BUT THEN missed on the opportunity of CAT when had a pull back. I decided switch to other name on TODAY watchlist.
EL was stock in play. Morning having a new high, then pull back with the market. After the pull back is healthy, stock show relative strength base charts and trade above opening priced. I GOT LONG at 212.50. Risking around $1 to target $3 (1:3)
As soon as enter, waiting over 30m going to my target. Get out and got a 2.8 R play. 18% ROI
What I did Right:
1) Having pre-market plan and stock in place
2) Follow the plan
3) Identify a healthy pull back and seeing trend and signal candle and entries after that
4) Having good R/R that planned out
What I did Wrong:
1) Missed CAT huge MOVE! but good to switch other watch stock in play
2) Good setup for sizing and scaling
Where I could improve:
Trade grade: B+
