you did a great job on this trade. I shorted it also, but waited till it broke vwap, so I didn't get much of a play

Hi JensW,

You made a nice entry but what was your reason to enter, in view of such a tight move you did a great job scaling out...your exit at support of that second candle was spot on and obviously IMO the only real trade today in HWAY.

@amyb I made a mistake on an earlier trade that day on HWAY and ended up flat after commissions on the ticker for 7/28/2016.
I assume your trade plan included a steady fade of HWAY. Waiting for a VWAP or EMA break can be a signal to go short. however, I prefer a very significant distance from the VWAP for shorting overbought stocks or longing oversold stocks.

@josephhackett_BULLS I don't understand the word "tight" in your text. you mean "large upward move"?

trades can be classified as breakouts, pull-backs, or reversals (sure there are many other classifications.) i trade mostly reversals.

if you ask for reasons why i took the trade ... you can review some of my other trades on tradervue... in the earlier ones i described which metrics i look at.

"the only real trade" does not exit. think about all the volatility sellers around 16 in HWAY on 7/28/2016. i mean there were people that sold short-term puts or calls and made money on HWAY, as the price did not move that much the rest of the day. if there was "the only real trade", there would not be a market, someone is at the other side of your trade, selling when you buy, and buying when you sell.
