I loved my entries on these Bear Flags especially as it approaches this 171ish level on the Daily. But I completely mismanaged my trade. I did not follow my rules and tried to hold all of my position until the target. I should have covered some as it re-tested 167.30. Or covered some when it broke through the 8MA, or some through the 21MA. A lot of shoulda/coulda/wouldas on this trade. I have rules to cover / trail at those circled areas in the chart above. I just didn't execute them.
I rather lose $500+ on a trade I executed well instead of making a gain on a poorly executed trade.
The best thing I can really do is have this trade as a reminder of what happens when you do not follow your rules.
