Made a rookie mistake that I didn't catch yesterday and paid for today. I was trading SPX and using QQQ as a confluence but what I didn't realize was that I should be using /ES ( on the TOS platform) as confluence instead. I was confused on my entry because I saw a bearish candle on the 5 minute for QQQ but there was a bullish candle on the 5 minute for SPX. Which impacted my entry. Luckily the long term trend was still intact so I was able to recover but man today could have been worse.
