TSLA Trade on Jan 23, 2023 09:33 from Trader_DK88-Andrew_BOWS: Tradervue User Stock Trades.

Improvements:

  1. In previous trade (short side) on TSLA the stock closing above the VWAP so I immediately reversed the position for a potential long side trade.
  2. Switching from a gap-up & fade trade setup to a VWAP remount/ quick pullback buy setup.
  3. Entry was based off the point where my previous trade thesis was proven wrong and now a new trade setup had emerged.
  4. Stop on the trade was just below the VWAP below the 135-level.
  5. This was poor trading performance & trade management in terms of holding the trade and "let it ride".
  6. Watching the trade unfold off the 2-min chart the stock had looked like it was stalling as it grinded higher with a potential to roll over.
  7. This is a challenge for me when the stock has a "large drive" on the 5-min chart and then "consolidates" before pushing higher.

  8. The amount of times I have held the trade over the past 12-moinths only for it to roll over and come back down and stop me out.

  9. I will say I am "gun shy" on this and will hit out of the trade rather than hold it. This has resulted in outcomes like this where stock has ripped higher and I've been exited.

Notes:

  • Tuff call to make on this for me.
  • There was a second opportunity to enter the trade on the 5-min chart which I have missed.

Actions:

  • Playbook the trade
