Was going for the pullback play. Should have tried again when it remounted. Didn't wait for the candle to hold.

The stock had major support at the gap below and it bounced from that support. So an anticipated entry with tight stop doesn't have high probability. You need to either scale in (= to add more if it goes higher) if you want to anticipate or wait for the bounce to lose some momentum.
Because support on daily hadn't been broken I don't think shorting the pullback there was a good idea. It would have worked for this stock (as it went down to test LOD) but many times you would see a higher low after such a strong bounce which makes the trade just so-so wrt to reward/risk ratio IMHO.
