Daily Setup: Oversold bounce, seemed like an overreaction to the news.
Intraday Setup: Oversold bounce
I took several attempts at this one. The first try was a bit of fomo, it flushed big and quick so I was looking for a snap back; I had $330 for a support level. It flickered up a few ticks so I entered and then averaged in. Stopped that attempt. Second attempt made an RDR on the first 5 minute candle, that was my second entry, stopped LOD. I finally got a successful RDR on the second 5 minute candle and the market trying to pivot. Scaled out twice, added some back and sold that add, then stopped remaining at LOD. The last attempt was another RDR on the 5 minute chart. A hammer type candle formed, the low broke and the I entered back up through the low, got my risk covered and stopped on remaining.
Overall a loss due to getting creamed on the first attempt. I was trying to capture some opening momentum and made the mistake of averaging in. I'm happy with the subsequent attempts since I had a clear plan and defined entry.
1st trade:
Entry: Random, it appeared to start ticking up, but quickly continued down/
Stop: Didn't obey, added more lower. Bad trade
Layers of Probability: Daily extension, markets trying to bounce, Intraday extension, support levels
Subsequent attempts:
Entry: RDR on the 5
Stops: LOD
Targets: 1:1, pops and round numbers 25c, 50c levels
Successes: I was able to clear my head and regroup for subsequent attempts, Clearly defined setups the following trades and rules followed,
Areas to improve: Trend is your friend, more $$ to be made with the trend; it just seemed to extended to continue shorting. Clear setups, calm head at the open. Sizing: way too big, especially with this counter-trend setup.

really tough trade to make.. good job on the risk management from 2nd entry and on though... totally agree with you on the stick with the trend thought though... personally i have been trying to cut my trades to only with trend trades and then try to build out the "with trend trade business" then I hope to retry these Mean Reversion types of trades...Ive gotten too smoked on them in the past
