**What was the result of the trade, what happened? Profit. Market was gapping up at the time of entry. I took an HODB trade at 75.69 with 100 shares when the price action broke the HOD with confirmation/ORL with average volume and momentum. The price action also broke through the premarket high. The price action broke LRC to the upside and was above the Bollinger Bands. I set the loss of the 9EMA with confirmation as my technical stop and a 2.00 hard stop based on the ATR of the 5-minute candle prior to entry. I had a daily pivot at 79.54 and I set my profit targets at 77.00 and 77.50. I took a 2/3 partial when the price action reached my profit target of 77.00 (77.065) and then I set my stop to breakeven. I added 100 shares when the price action pulled backed and then set my stop to breakeven. I was stopped out when the price action broke breakeven.

*FEELINGS- Describe what you thought and felt during the trade? Feeling in control.

*EVALUATION- What was good or bad about the trade (what worked according to plan in the trade)? Good: The price action broke through the HOD and premarket high with slightly above average volume. The price broke the LRC and Bollinger Bands to the upside. Bad: The price reversed stopping me out at breakeven.

*ANALYSIS- Does the trade make sense to you now that it is over? Yes.

*CONCLUSION- What is the final judgment of the trade (draw conclusions)? Another good profit taking trade. I could have waited to see if the price action would pull further back to the 9EMA before adding shares and setting to breakeven. Otherwise, I could have avoided the early breakeven stop and allowed the trade to push further upwards.

*ACTION PLAN- How are you going to avoid the mistakes you made on this trade? How are you going to make sure you get the same results the next time if the trade was good? Continue to take the setup and practice excellent risk management.
