Premarket research
- IONQ was moving more than 2% premarket. Fundamental catalyst found (beat earnings expectations).
- Volume was high and good price level for me.
- Had definite levels of support and resistance so good candidate for resistance and support trades.
- The price was extended so reasonable to think that it was going to drop, which it did but it was HTB so no short, thought I could jump on a reversal strategy.
- Did the math and checked how much I could afford to buy/risk.

During Open
- Waited 5 min ORB and as expected dropped but I caught it at $6.85 with 10c stop loss and got stopped out $6.75 when it dropped lower.
- Bought again $6.81 but It was a bad place to buy because it was already half way to resistance line, dropped again, stopped out at $7.76.
- Bought again after a BIG pull back on lower volume at $7.71 and stopped out at $6.64.

Rights and Wrongs
- Rights: Premarket research, studies and share size good, did not lose all 2% account value, set all my stop loss orders at logical technical levels.
- Wrongs
1. Should have waited 10-15 min ORB, that way I could have seen the double bottom at $6.70 for a 5c stop loss below that with a 1:4 risk to reward ratio.
2. Overtrading on a stock that was moving down and on declining volume.
3. Wait for confirmation on your strategy! I bought right after the 5 min ORB because I was watching the 1 min chart using my 5 min chart studies, should have traded the 5 min chart.
