Little volume spike convinced me to anticipate the $16.20 breakout on this one. I guess I was reaching for a setup on a stock like this. It needed way more volume to be powerful looking back at previous day breakouts. It was just consolidating a huge move from the day before all day long. I got wicked on the stop so I lost more than I had planned (had a $15.99 stop) but still it was not a very good setup. Here's a longer term chart showing my reason for entry and my entry point...so you can see that the volume on this spike, even though it was bigger than the relative volume all day, was insignificant in the big picture.
