PREMARKET
- Good premarket candle action, looked suitable for a short.
- Catalyst on good earnings.
- ATR: 5$, ETB, MC.
- I thought, if it lost VWAP it would be a powerful move to the downside.
I also didn't think a move to the upside would be safe to do because it was ALREADY hella extended off the VWAP from the pre-market.
OPEN
- Waited after OR, I thought the candle showed confirmation short side BUT the confirmation wasn't super convincing, I got in initial size 10 shares anyways. I did happen to see the trend upwards on the 1 min higher highs and higher lows so I go out earlier, good idea because it did trend higher.
- The trade later in the day was me being stupid and hasty because I already knew by that time that the price action all day had looked choppy, so I shouldn't have even been in that trade, I jumped on it being greedy!
REFLECTION
- Great that I spotted out the developing trend agains't me, save me from more loss.
- Absolutely convincing candles is what I require, not just the first candle to turn in my favor. It should be BOTH 1 min and 5 min candle action.
